I had never been on a NY subway...let alone by myself. Sometimes when I think of NYC I still think of it as the 1970's NYC. Sometimes a scary place. I was pleasantly surprised. My ride was actually enjoyable. It was a short 6 minute commute to my next destination. Santos Party House in Downtown Manhattan, near China Town.
